Online Dating Profile: Body type

Last week we brought you the story of Max , a man who stood up his date when he discovered she lied about her body type. Hard to say. Anyone who has been to a Scottsdale club on a Saturday night, or a Monday for that matter, will know what I mean. With the exception of their enormous, fake double-D implants, the women that frequent these clubs are waif-like. So, if I mark slender, I have a feeling my dates may be a little disappointed. Needless to say, I select average and move on to the next question……. Case in point see attached photo.

5 Red Flags to Look for When Dating Women on

When I had to select a “body type” on my OkCupid profile a few years ago, I was presented with about 12 different options. These options included “thin,” “overweight,” “jacked,” “a little extra” whatever that means and “rather not say. I was 6’3” and pounds. I’d “rather not say” how much time I put into mentally laboring over how to answer this seemingly simple question, but for the sake of this post, I will:.

On my confident days, I’d select “thin” or “skinny.

Sometimes I put “no answer” or whatever because I have no idea how to describe it, but then that looks weird when you’ve answered all questions but that one. These are the descriptions on match, what would I be? I don’t want to be misleading but I also don’t want men to be turned off by the description especially if it is inaccurate.

I’m 5’4″ and have about 40 more lbs to lose I have some pics in my profile here, have opened up my profile temporarily. I’ve lost 20lbs since these pics. I’m a size , but I have no hips – I’m all boobs. So curvy doesn’t really apply unfortunately! April 25, PM 0.

Like male peacocks showing off their magnificent plumage to attract a mate, some men on dating sites post topless mirror gym selfies. Not such a good idea, according to dating experts. Oh my god my stomach isn’t flat at all am I a little bit extra??? Is someone going to be disappointed when they meet me?? Personally, I put “a little bit extra” even though, technically, I qualify as “average”. Someone can see my timestamp’d full-body shot and come to their own conclusions, but a little extra is how I’d describe myself. Since there’s no “real” definition for these things, it comes down to how you would describe yourself, and how to most accurately convey the truth to someone viewing your profile I don’t know, I just look at the pictures.

FWIW, every guy on reddit who complains about how women lie about their weight lies about his height. So this is a question that has always been on my mind On certain dating websites there is a field where you get to choose what body type you prefer your partner to have. I feel like some of the description options are a bit ambiguous and for someone like me who isn’t really into wasting her time, I’d really like to know what most men thing each body type description means.

I mean I’m a tall girl, so the height thing is pretty straight forward I’m 5’8 so if a guy says he prefers his date to be 5’6 or below, I just won’t communicate with him So guys, could you please describe what each body type listed here means to you I am excluding slender, athletic and full figured because those are pretty obvious. Also would like to know the difference between slender and about average because to me it sounds like the same. Last edited by bebe; at PM..
